AMWS Jim Israel Scholarship. Feedback from Natasha. March 2021
Natasha described her experiences on board Young Endeavour as; "The experience was a life changing adventure. Before the voyage, I was excited but unsure what to expect. During the 10 days, I was faced with many new challenges including: - Climbing the mask - Cooking meals for around 20 people - Driving the ship in the middle of the ocean - Working as a team to get through watches throughout the night The time away gave me the opportunity to reflect on how strong of a person I am and how resilient and persistent I can be when overcoming challenges. I am looking forward to taking what I have learnt from the experience and using it in all aspects of my life. I would like to say thank you to AMWS for this opportunity, it was truly the best"! Well done to both Natasha and Braedon |

"I would strongly recommend this trip to anyone no matter what their background ......you will be able to gain something great from the experience." - Charlie 2018
I’ve climbed to the top of the main mast and read a message that only a few get to see. I’ve steered through a passage at Cape Naturalist and I’ve steered in the pitch black of night. I’ve scrubbed the deck and coiled ropes a million times. I was a Leeuwin Trainee!. - Shawn 2018
"This Voyage further opened my eyes at life at sea, and how important working as a team really is. I can safely speak for most people when I say that we were pushed too, and even passed our normal boundaries." - Johnny 2017
"I would gladly go back to the sea once more. I like to say that I'm seasick; homesick for the sea." - Emily 2017
"Knowledge were tested and unexpected leaders rose to the challenge. We all were brought together and used everyone's knowledge to make sure command day went smoothly. - Georgia 2017
